Over two hundred Non-Commissioned Officers of the 7th and 8th Battalions, The Royal Berkshire Regiment, being entertained to a farewell tea by the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) in Reading in 1915. Shortly afterwards they left Reading to continue their training elsewhere. The Y.M.C.A. premises were at Nos. 30 and 31 Friar Street. 1910-1919.
