of dark F orest of Dean s to n e ; the reredos is of Caen
stone and E a rly E n g lish and Italian alabaster and
m arble, and has a scu lp tured group in the centre reÂ
p resenting the C ru cifix io n : t h e east window is stained,
and a b eau tifu l arch p artially filled by oak screen work
incloses the organ c h a m b e r: t h e r e ' are 260 sittings.
The register dates from the year 1881. The livin g is a
vicarage, net yea rly value £255, w ith residence, in the
g ift of the V ica r of Sonning, and held since 1913 by the
Rev. F rederick F itz P a tric k Penruddock M .A. of S t.
