H olm e P a rk , n o w (1913) v a c a n t: the house is w ell situated on an
em inence com m and ing a fine view o f the va lley o f the Tham es : the
park and grounds are extensive. T he South Berks L im ited are the
principal landow ners. T h e area of Sonning on ly is 1,205 acres o f land
and 42 o f w a t e r ; rateable value, £ 6 ,8 1 1 ; the population in 1911 was
418 in the civil parish ; the population in 1911 was 650 in the eccleÂ
siastical parish.
