Capt. W. HARRIS ST. JOHN, Royal
Welsh FusiIiers. son of Mr. C E. Harris St John, of West Court, Finchampstead. Wounded.
The late Second Lieut. . E. WARING , 1st Batt. 60th Rifles, younger son of Captain and Mrs. W. Waring, Beenham House, Reading. killed in action. Aged 2o. Educated at Wixenford and Wellington College. he was appointed to the 5th Batt. 60th Rifles in October 1913 and in September 1914, left England In charge of a draft, losing his life two months later. The motto of the Waring family is "Toujours Prest" and in giving his life for his country, this gallant young officer has testified to its truth .
