Mrs G. Buss of 31 Addington Road, Reading is one of those brave women, who although widowed, has spared all her sons for war service. The photograph shows from left to right the late Pte. S.R. Buss R.M.L.I.who perished in the "Bulwark" disaster aged 23€; Corpl. A.H. Buss Royal Engineers; A.J. Buss A.B. H.M.S. Queen; Pte. W.H. Buss R.M.L.I. H.M.S. Britannia; E.G. Buss postman Reading Post Office; Mrs G. Buss and F.J. Buss Berks R.H.A.

BANISHED POLITICS.
Captain H.N. FANE prospective Unionist candidate for South Oxon, rejoind the Coldstream Guards on the outbreak of war and early in the campaign received a severe lung wound, from which he did not recover for active service. The War Office decided to employ him in another sphere and appointed him to the staff of the Governor-General of Australia.

MOTHER'S PATRIOTIC SACRIFICE
Mrs B.E. Buckett, 1 Lime Court, Reading is the mother of 6 soldier sons, all of them in the Royal Berkshire Regt. At the date of going to press, one had been killed and three wounded. The Photograph shows Pte. George Buckett (wounded), Pte. Frank Buckett (wounded), Pte. Alfred Buckett (wounded),Col.-Sergt. Arch. Buckett drill instructor on Salisbury Plain ; Pte. Harry Buckett, sick; and the late Pte. Fred Buckett (Killed in action).

THE PRIDE OF THE "SIXTH"
This is an interesting trio as it contains the youngest member of the 6th Batt. Royal Berks Regiment, and the two oldes members of that new Army unit. Our veteran friends are "Hobby" Lark and "Lottie" Collins and their boyish comrade in arms is Drummer Crayford.
