Pte. W. B. SKELTON, Chavey Down,
Bracknell. Wounded.
Tpr. H. R. J. JAMES, Brooklands, Tilehurst
Road, Reading. Wounded and missing.
Tpr. T. C. R. MILLER, Dromore,
Wellington Road, Wokingham.
Wounded.
CHUMS DIVIDED. Of these four Bracknell boys of the Berks
Yeomanry, one fell and two others were injured at Hill 70.
They are (top to bottom): Lce. Cpl. E. GALE, wounded; Tpr. A.
ALLCOT; the late Tpr. PHILIP BOWYER, killed in action; and
Tpr. HARRY ALDER, injured in action.
COMRADES IN WORK< SPORT< AND WAR. Lance Sergt.
ALBERT SEWARD, the late Corporal CHARLES BUTLER and
Tpr. FRANK DAVIS, who were employed together in Reading
Post Office, played in the same football team and fought
shoulder to shoulder in battle. At Hill 70 the first and third were
wounded and the second was killed in action.
