ROYAL VISIT TO Reading War Hospital No. 1,
July 31st, 1915.
King George and Queen Mary making an inspection of the Hospital, in company with
Lieut. Colonel Hanly, O. C., Capt. J. L. Joyce, Registrar, and Miss Willetts, Matron.
The arrival of the distinguished visitors, who spent nearly two hours among the soldiers.
The warriors were delighted with the honour conferred upon the Hospital and quickly
surrounded the Royal car.
Besides inspecting the wards, their Majesties strolled round the pleasant grounds.
