THE FIRST INSPECTION.

EARLEY ERECTS TWO RIFLE RANGES.
Earley and District Volunteer Defence Force put the provision of two rifle ranges in its programme and appealed to the generosity of the residents. The Force owes its success largely to the enthusiastic efforts and financial support of the hon. treasurer and chairman, Mr. J. Rushbrooke, and to the energy of the hon. secretary Mr C.S. Webb, but without liberal donations by Mr S.B. Joel
and his willingness to let a site at a nominal rent the project would have been more difficult to accomplish.
