On the eve of the dep ar tur e from
Wokingham of 2,400 billeted troops, part of the new A r m y ,
were held in St. Paul'€™s Parish Room
and the Town Hall.
There was immense enth us ia sm , which in the spring of 1915, f a r e w e ll e n t e r t a i n m e n t s

to the Rev. G. E. Drummond , who
was also made to Mr. W . T. Martin , who organised schemes to make their stay of the pleasantest kind, and
very popular with the men.
