7 TH BATT. ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT.
Pte. E. NOAKES was honoured for a brave act he performed in France on October 12 th, 1915.
A comrade , Pte. Pyle, was in danger of drowning in the river Somme and was rescued by Pte. Noakes.
The Royal Humane Society awarded its vellum testimonial to Pte. Noakes.
Tilehurst claims this gallant young man as his home is at 23, Downing Road.
Members of the transport section and a young lady who enjoyed the experience of being photographed with prospective heroes.
Pte. W.F. LOWE.- Sick with nephritis caused by exposure on active service.
