8th Batt. Royal Berkshire Regiment - continued.
[photo, portrait] The late Lce.-Corpl. A. POUNDS, 12, Foxhill Road, Reading. - Killed by a sniper while wiring. Aged 27. His conduct was excellent, says his officer.
[photo, portrait] Pte. W. J. DURBIDGE, Aldern Bridge, Greenham Common, Newbury. - Wounded.
[photo, portrait] Lce.-Cpl. PERCY BLAKE, Queen Street, Eynsham. - Wounded.
[photo, portrait] Sergt. PERCY POWELL, 49, Oak Cottage, Marshfield Road, Chippenham. - Missing since Sept. 25, 1915.
[photo, portrait] Lieut. CLAUD FRANCIS WEBB, Essex Regt., late lieut. 8th Batt. Royal Berks Regt., West Malvern. - Twice wounded, at Loos he was buried three times in half an hour and north of Vermelle he was buried by an enemy trench mortar, suffering from shell shock. In the 8th Berks he had charge of the regimental transport.
