8th BATT. ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. JOHN BECKETT. - Killed in action. Showing the greatest bravery in an attack, he cheered on his comrades and his last words were "Go ahead, boys!"
[photo, portrait] The late Private ALBERT J. McCULLOUGH, Station Road, Mortimer. - Killed in action. Aged 32.
[photo, portrait] The late Second Lieut. HEREWARD PATTISON SADLER, "Plassey", Holmes Road, Reading. - Died of wounds. Aged 20.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. G. H. BROWN - Died of wounds.
[photo, portrait] Capt. W. P. HEWETSON, adjutant of the Battalion, Amesbury, Datchet, who has been awarded the Military Cross. He served through the South African War and was mentioned in despatches, having both medals and five clasps.
