The late Pte. REGINALD BOOTHBY, 16 Thames Avenue, Reading. - Killed in action
The late Pte. HORACE GIBBARD, 29 Montague Street, Reading.- Killed in action. Aged 19.
Pte. C.T. GREEN, Elm Cottage, Wokingham. - Wounded.
OFFICERS' COOKS UNDER FIRE. - The mess staff who prepared the meals of the officers- sometimes at personal risk. Shells would frequently burst in unpleasant proximity to the kitchen, sometimes breaking the crockery. Names: -Pte. Goddard (Reading), Pte. Webb (Windsor), Pte. Shaw (Taplow), Lce. Corpl. Alder (Abingdon), Sergt.-Dmr. Beasley (Reading) and Pte. Brinn (Wallingford). Alder and Beasley have the long service medal.
Pte. B. EYMORE. - Invalided with frostbite.
Pte. W. CLARKE, Hurst. - Wounded.
The late Pte. FRANK NELSON, 109 Field Road, Reading.- Died of wounds. Aged 32.
Pte. WALTER ERNEST BOWLEY, 40 St. George's Road, Reading. - Sick.
Lce.-Corpl. A.H. WHITE, Bridge Street, Hungerford. - Wounded.
