GALLANT OFFICERS.
[photo, portrait] The late Second Lieut. ERIC SMITH, Royal Warwickshire Regt., son of Mrs. Smith, Ardreddio, Wargrave. - Killed in action. Aged 27.
[photo, portrait] The late Second Lieut. GEORGE SHRUBB ABBOTT, Royal Berks Regt., only son of Mr. G. H. Abbott, The Hazels, Cholsey. - Killed in action. Aged 22. [Photo by Watlon [sic] Adams.]
[photo, portrait] Second Lieut. F. G. LOAM, 1st Batt. Dorset Regt., Reading (son of Mr. Matthew W. Loam, steward of H.M. Prison). - Wounded severely. He enlisted in the 3/4th Batt. Royal Berks Regt. and was promoted to commission rank. He is only 19.
