Distinguished Conduct Medal Awards.
[photo, portrait] Pte. J. CHRISTOPHER, 2nd Batt. Royal Berks Regt., 37, Cranbury Road, Reading. - For going out many times under very heavy fire to bring in wounded men; "Conspicuous for his coolness and courage".
[photo, portrait] Corpl. A. W. SEAR, 1st Batt. Royal Berks Regt., 122, Chatham Street, Reading. - For bringing in under heavy fire a wounded comrade and a wounded German on Christmas Day, 1914.
[photo, portrait] Pte. R. J. STEELE, 2nd Batt. Royal West Surrey Regiment, Sandhurst. - For bringing in wounded soldiers under heavy fire.
[photo, portrait] CpI. A. WIGMORE. 2nd Batt. King's Royal Rifle Corps, Bracknell. - For rescuing wounded under heavy fire.
[photo, portrait] Regtl.-Sergt.-Major G. LAINSBURY, 8th Batt. Royal Berks Regt., 312, Oxford Road, Reading. - For his skill and resource in organising men in the assault on Hulluch. Slightly gassed.
[photo, portrait] The late Coy.-Sergt.-Major WARREN, 2nd Batt. Dorset Regt., 27, Pangbourne St., Reading. - Died of wounds. He was awarded the D.C.M. in Mesopotamia and also possessed the Long Service and Good Conduct Medals, having served 19 years.
[photo, portrait] Sergt. W. HARRISON, 2nd South Lancashire Regt., 55, Wilson Road, Reading. - For conspicuous gallantry at the battle of Mons, where he was wounded and was also captured.
[photo, portrait] Lce.-Corpl. GEORGE T. STANNERS, 6th Batt. Royal Berks Regt., Aston Road, Birmingham.
[photo, portrait] Pte. G. H. NASH, 7th Batt. Rifle Brigade, Mead Cottage, Sandhurst. - For attending to wounded officer under heavy fire. He tried to save Lieut. Talbot, son of the Bishop of the Bishop [sic] of Winchester, and was wounded in the hands and arms five times.
