Royal Berkshire Regiment. Various battalions.
Pte. V. N. COOPER, 2nd Batt., 25 Cardigan Road, Reading. -- Wounded.
The late Pte. W. DEANE, Spring Farm Cottage, Goring. -- Killed in action.
Pte. C. H. TURNER, transferred to Lincoln Regt., South Stoke. -- Wounded in seven places.
Pe. EDWIN A. WEBB, Cpl. ALBERT W. WEBB and Pte. EDGAR G. WEBB, of Blewbury, who came from India with the 2nd Berkshires. Corpl. A. Webb (standing) and Pte. Edgar G. Webb (sitting on the right) were both killed the same day, viz., on July 1st, 1916, in the big advance on the Somme.
Lce.-Corpl. F. SMITH, 2nd Batt., 42, Charles St., Reading. -- Wounded.
Pte. A. E. CHALLIS, 2nd Batt., 63, Norfolk Road, Reading. --Wounded.
Pte. W. J. COOK, 2nd Batt., Woolhampton. -- After being twice wounded, discharged as disabled.
