The First Battalion, the Royal Berkshire Regiment, in St. Mary's Butts, Reading, having left St. Mary's Church after the thanksgiving service at the end of the First World War, 14 April, 1919. The street is thronged with people, some of whom have climbed onto the jubilee fountain. On the west side of Butts, the following premises can be seen: No. 22 (Arthur Herbert, electrical engineer); No. 21 (Pickford's, furniture removers); and No. 20 (Collier and Catley, builders). 1910-1919
