Friar Street, Reading, looking westwards from the Town Hall, c. 1909. On the south side of the street, behind the statue of Queen Victoria: No. 164 (John H. Gould, estate agent) and Nos. 163 and 162 (Frank Attwells, Binfield and Company, music shop). On the north side, Nos. 4 and 3 (R. and W. Fleming, coachbuilders), and the estate agent's office of Sydney Oades at No. 1 Blagrave Street. There are several horse-drawn vehicles in the street. 1900-1909 : postcard, with the caption: "Friar Street, Reading," numbered 49636, Valentine's Series.
