Forbury Gardens, Reading, 1904. There is a band in the bandstand. In front of it, and to the right, is the Maiwand Memorial ("Forbury Lion"), with three people standing in front of the plinth - two ladies in long white dresses, and a policeman in light-coloured helmet. 1900-1909 : photograph by Francis Frith, No. 52014.
