KHAKI GUESTS. - Carey Young People's Society, assisted by friends, gave a farewell supper to about 75 of the soldiers who had been billeted in that district and removed to Salisbury Plain. Afterwards there was a smoking concert, at which the Rev. J. A. Sutherland (minister of the church) presided and the Misses Elsie Cowmeadow, Gwenhwyfa Rhys and Ina Bird and Messrs. Chadwick, E. H. Moss and Frank Tunbridge sang or played. A most enjoyable evening was spent.

THE 8th BATT. ROYAL BERKS REGIMENT leave Reading, where they were billeted six months. The Mayor and the Rev. F. J. C. Gillmor said goodbye to the battalion, who sang patriotic songs and as the train drew out of the station "It's a long, long way to Tipperary."
