BERKS SPECIAL POLICE

Our pictures show members of the Berks Police Special Reserve in Theale, Beenham, Bradfield, Englefield, Pangbourne, Mortimer,
Tidmarsh, Sulhamstead and Shinfield, numbering 205, being inspected by Colonel F. C. Ricardo, chief organising officer, and Major A. F.
Poulton, Chief Constable, in the early stages of the movement. The inspecting officers addressed the men, complimenting them on their
smartness and emphasising the importance of their duties, and Colonel Ricardo handed a certificate of efficiency to each.
