BERKSHIRE COUNTY ASSOCiATION
The task of handling the Berkshire Territorial Force was a very formidable one at the beginning of the War, and that the various units were so well organised and promptly equipped is due to the businesslike government of the County Association of which Mr. J. H. Benyon was president, Lord Haversham chairman Colonel J.C. Colebrooke Carter vice chairman and Captain M. L. Porter secretary
