The Dublin Rebellion.

[photo, group, exterior] The Machine Gun Car in which Mr. G. W. Lovegrove served as pilot.

In the Irish revolt two Reading gentlemen resident in Dublin had exciting experiences. Mr. A. C. Pesterre, proprietor of the Benburg Street Riding Academy, had to make several dangerous journeys to obtain food for four friends who could not reach their homes. Mr. George W. Lovegrove, late hon. secretary of the Reading Rowing Club, had a unique experience. Men of the Royal Naval Air Service, being in want of supplies, and not knowing their way into the city, took Mr. Lovegrove on board to act as "pilot" and obtained all they required from the warehouses.
