PRESENTATION OF MEDALS IN ST. GILES', OXFORD.
Lieut.-General Sir H. C. Sclater, K.C.B ., visited Oxford on May 17th to present military medals. Amongst the recipients were Mrs. A. Brooks, 39, Swansea Road, Reading, for her son, the late Lce.-Corpl. A. Brooks, Royal Berks Regt ., D.C.M., and Mr. Taylor, Station House, Bracknell, for the late Sergt. V. H. Taylor, Royal Berks Regt., Military Medal. -- (1) Lt.General Sclater (B) ; (2) Pte. H. Kirk, D. M. ; (3) Mrs. Brooks ; (4 ) the General addressing the troops ; (5) S ir Robert Buckell (Mayor of Oxford) ; (6) a portion of the crowd.'
