PRISONERS IN GERMANY.
The photographs of groups of prisoners in Germany reproduced in the "Reading Standard" aroused wide interest. Here are four which were sent home by Berkshire men.
Eight men of fine physique who have been "taking their coats off" at some work. We wonder what was the nature of their task.
The captivity of these men would be much harder to bear but for the fragrant weed. Some of them, as will be seen, are smoking a "fag" or a pipe.
THE SAILOR IN THE CENTRE IS ARTHUR J. BROCK, OF TILEHURST.
A GRATIFYING FEATURE OF THIS PICTURE IS THAT THE MEN LOOK WELL CARED FOR.
