The late Coy. S.M. H. C. HAMBLIN West Yorks Regt ., late of Reading. - Killed in action. Aged 29.
The late Sec. Lieut. T. G. TICKNER, South Lanc. Regt ., formerly 4th Royal Berks, son of Mr. T. W. Tickner, Wallingford. - Died of wounds. Aged 32.
The late Pte. ERNEST BENDLE , 12th Batt. Devon Regt., 1, Chapel Hill, Tilehurst. - Killed in action. Aged 8.
REGINALD W. LEAVEY, 8th Cyclists Corps,Theale. -Wounded.
The late Second Lieut. JOHN CAULFIELD TUCKEY, Middlesex Regt. ,elder son of the Rev . J. G . Tuckey,
Assistant Chaplain General to the Forces, Church of England, and Mrs. Tuckey, Caversham. - Killed in action. Aged 19.
The late Pte. W. H. BOLTON , Wilts Regt ., 2, Park Cottages, Shinfield R d., Reading. - Died of spotted fever in France.
MEN WITH "HIGH" IDEALS. Aircraft is playing an important part in the war, and the fact that Reading has been chosen as a centre of instruction is not without interest. The above picture depicts a familiar scene on Sundays when members of th e Royal Flying Corps, who, of course, have "high ideals" go regularly to church.
