Battery Quartermaster-Sergt. J. H. LAFERVE-W ALLACE, R.F.A., 56, College Road, Reading.
Sergt. WHITBREAD, 7th Batt. Royal Berks Regt., son of Mrs. E. Whitbread, Fernlea, Knowl Hill, Twyford. -- Wounded.
Captain HARRY CHOWNE, Blagrave Farm, Mapledurham. -- For services rendered in the Army Veterinary Corps. He is the second son of Mr. H. Chowne. [His brother, Second Lieut. L. G. Chowne, London Regt., has been killed in action; his portrait appears on page 606. ]
Lieut. R. V. HOLMES, the youngest son of Mr. James Holmes, of Oakfield, Wokingham, and Duke St., Reading.
Sergt. JACK GARFIELD, 1st Royal Berks Regt. -- Wounded by bomb while instructing bombers.
Staff- Sergeant-Major C. JORDAN, Burghfield Common. (He was a private at the beginning of the war, when called up.)
