VARIOUS REGIMENTS
The late Second Lieut. A. R. BRINKWORTH, Royal Warwickshire Regt., youngest son of Mr. H. Brinkworth, Friar St., Reading. - Died of wounds. Aged 27.
Pte. W. COOK, Duke of Cornwall's L.I., 63 King's Road, Caversham. - Wounded.
Second Lieut. STANLEY GORDON CLIFTON, 2nd Batt. Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regt., 64, Swansea Road, Reading. - Gassed.
Pte. RICHARD C. EVANS, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, 35, Mason Street, Reading. - Shell shock.
The late Lce.-Sergt. CHARLES WM. THEAR, 1/8th Batt. Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, 12, Victoria
Street, Reading. - Killed in action. Aged 30.
Members of the R.F.C. have won the V.C. for bringing down Zeppelins, and these officers and men were trained in Reading to fit themselves to perform similar feats. They attended St . Giles' Church on Sundays .
