The Duke of Connaught at Bear Wood
Visit to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital
The Duke of Connaught visited the Hospital for Convalescent Canadian Soldiers at Bear Wood on Saturday June 8th 1918.
Governor General.Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
500 Canadians at Bear Wood.
The C.A.M.C. personnel formed a guard of honour under Capt. N. Macdonald, Adjutant and Registrar, and the Duke was received by Col. Wodehouse, Officer Commanding, and the Matron Miss Wilson. He was attended by Captain Ashworth A.D.C. and Major Sir Charles Fitzwilliam.
Also present Major F.E. Walter, Mrs Walter and the Rev.W.J. Bailey, chaplain.
