[photo, group, exterior] A group of the 53rd T.M.B. near the Somme, taken just before the "Hundred Days'€™ Battle", consisting largely of men from the 1/4th, 6th and 8th Battalions of the Royal Berks Regt. Among them are Pte. P. Kaye, of Bear Wood, Pte. Ponsford, of Ascot, Pte. Cheyney, of Maidenhead, and Pte. H. S. Harwood, of 48, Belmont Road, Reading.
