VARIOUS REGIMENTS.
[photo, portrait] Signaller R. NEWPORT, Worcester Regt., 13, Grange Avenue, Reading. - Missing since April 25th, 1918.
[photo, portrait] Pte. F. W. TUCK, Royal West Kents, 2, York Terrace, Sunninghill. - Missing.
[photo, portrait] Second Lieut. W. G. BAILEY, Norfolk Regt. has been awarded the Military Cross and bar. The particulars of the act which won him this distinction are as follows:-
"When the line had to be re-formed under heavy machine-gun fire, this officer moved about placing the men in the best positions. He then made several journeys to an ammunition dump in front of the line, bringing back ammunition, which was much needed. He also brought back a man who was lying wounded in the open."
Sec. Lieut. Bailey is the Reading, Oxford City and Thame footballer.

[photo, portrait] The late Pte. P. W. G. HAMLETT, London Scottish, 70, Castle St., Reading. - Killed in action. Aged 19.
[photo, portrait] Pte. W. G. GARDENER, A.O.C., 5, Glenbeigh Terrace, Western Road, Reading. - Malaria fever in Mesopotamia.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. J. A. SHARP, Cameron Highlanders, Caversham. - Killed in action.
[photo, portrait] The late Lce.-Corpl. E. GAMBRIEL, K.S.L.I., 3, Hampshire Cottages, London Road, Bracknell. - Died of wounds.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. S. J. HUZZEY, Royal Fusiliers, Arborfield Cross. - Kijled in action.
[photo, portrait] Pte. J. A. KINGSHOTT, Q.R.W.S., 39, Bedford Road, Reading. - Gassed.
