ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT.
VARIOUS BATTALIONS.
[photo, portrait] Pte. JAMES MANNS, 5th Batt,, 124, Belmont Rd., Reading. - Severely gassed and burnt. Previously wounded three times.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. W. EDWARDS, 5th Batt., Overy Wood, Stoke Row, Henley. - Died of wounds.
[photo, portrait] The late Second Lieut. JOHN CAPEL MAURICE, youngest son of Bt. Colonel W. J. Maurice R.A.M.C. (T.) 28, Craven Road, Reading. - Killed in action.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. ALBERT (BERT) TOWNSEND, 8th Batt., 29, Queen's Road, Caversham. - Killed in action.
[photo, portrait] Pte. F. W. BOND, 5th Batt. - Wounded.
[photo, portrait] The late Sergt. LIONEL MARTIN, 1/4th Batt., 40, Battle Street, Reading. - Died of wounds. Aged 21.
[photo, group, exterior] This group of Signallers of the 8th Royal Berks have, between them, 115 years' service to their credit. The man sitting on the left of the middle row is Lce.-Corpl. A. E. CHALLIS, of 63, Norfolk Road, Reading. He was wounded on Sept. 3rd, 1918, in the left foot and side and his wrist was broken. He has seen over seven years' service, and came from India with the 2nd Batt. at the outbreak of war. He was also wounded at Neuve Chapelle in 1915.
[photo, portrait] The late Pte. T. F. BARKER, 8th Batt., Bill Hill, Wokingham. - Killed in action. Aged 18.
