BOOMING THE BONDS.

Amongst the numerous steps taken to popularise the Victory Loan in Reading during the week July 7-12, two which attracted considerable attention were the parade of the Russian armoured cars and the release of a balloon similar to those used for propaganda purposes over the German lines. The sum of £314,000 was subscribed in Reading.
