WAR HONOURS.
Dame Grand Cross for Mrs. Benyon.
The honour of Dame Grand Cross (G.B.E.) has been conferred by the King on Mrs. Benyon, president of the Berkshire branch of the British Red Cross Society, commandant of Englefield House Hospital. In a very real sense Mrs. Benyon has "done her bit" in this war. No honour was more richly deserved and none has afforded more general satisfaction. Amongst Mrs. Benyon's other multifarious activities are her presidency of the Reading Care and Comforts Committee, chairmanship pf the County Nursing Association, presidency of the League of Mercy, and presidency for the County of Berks of the Girl Guides.
